Mount Vernon

We went in the early spring. Not too much was out yet. But I loved the lay out of the garden. I am not sure what the circle object in the right picture is?

The daffodils were out. I wonder if George Washington ever mowed his lawn? Notice the espalier tree. i have always wanted to try this.

Cherry Blossoms in Washington DC

Last Year my sister and I went to Washington DC to see the Cherry Blossoms. We were told there were two types of Cherry trees some had white blossoms and others had pink blossoms. We were also told that the older the blossom is it changes colors. I am not sure what is the correct answer. If any one reading this knows, please post. I couldn't believe that the blossoms actually glow in the dark.
